Catherine Giannitto

Director

Catherine has many years of training experience, both as a dance instructor (8 yrs) and for 13 years as a consultant/instructor of various IT systems in the corporate arena. Catherine comes from a sporting background including swimming, netball, basketball, athletics, softball, touch football and volleyball.

Catherine discovered Pilates in 2000 and decided to obtain formal qualifications after sustaining a back injury in a motor vehicle accident, Catherine now practices what she preaches, using Pilates to alleviate an arthritic condition in her spine. She understands first hand the benefits of Pilates and how it can benefit your health in all areas, particularly the improvement in posture, flexibility and strength.

Catherine is heavily involved in the Pilates community in Australia, being a committee member of the Pilates Alliance of Australasia. She understands the importance on-going training and keeping up to date with the latest rehabilitative techniques. The Alliance aims to promote quality and integrity amongst instructors/studios encouraging safe and skilled implementation of the Pilates Method to the general public.
