What is Polestar’s Transition Course?
The Transition Program takes into consideration your prior training and experience and applies the relevant competencies to course units. This means you get recognised and credited for what you already know while upgrading with Polestar at a discounted rate.
Course Overview
The Transition course is available specifically for those who want to do the Pilates Studio and Rehab course. To qualify, satisfy the prerequisites and be certified by a reputable Pilates education company in a comprehensive program covering a combination of Reformer, Trapeze Table, Chair, Ladder Barrel and Mat work. As a transition student you will attend the course Units, complete the assignments, prove self-mastery and competency and complete the final exam.

COURSE OVERVIEW
The Polestar Pilates Transition Series certificate is geared towards instructors whom have completed a course of equivalent level and are interested in furthering their education in the Pilates field.
Each student will receive comprehensive didactic and theoretical review and practical training using a clinical reasoning approach. Students will receive instruction in teaching techniques, Pilates exercise benefits, self-mastery and practice. The Polestar Pilates didactic curriculum has earned the reputation worldwide as the most scientifically based Pilates curriculum available, taking Pilates education to a new pinnacle, consisting of formal lecture, reading assignments, research literature review, and writing assignments. Polestar Education is best known for it’s “critical thinking” model and original design of the Polestar Fitness Screening, Polestar Health Model and use of problem solving rehabilitation assessment tools.
PRE_REQUISITES: Minimum requirement for entry into this course:
- Completion of a Comprehensive Pilates teacher training program through a PAA or RTO approved training provider

COURSE OVERVIEW
The Complete Matwork Series trains you to teach group mat classes with total confidence. Resolve faulty movement patterns with Pilates-based interventions on the mat. Feel confident in verbal, tactile and combined cueing practices to facilitate motor learning, and be competent to work with healthy clients in any environment.
You will graduate a Polestar-qualified Matwork Pilates Teacher. Depending on your career path, you can take this as a stand-alone course, or continue training to gain the Polestar Pilates Diploma.
The Complete Pilates Matwork Series consists of 4 x two-day on-site courses and 2 x practicums in this order: Polestar Principles, Mat 1, Practicum 1, Mat 2, Practicum 2, Mat 3, approx 1 month apart. The repertoire consists of over 60 exercises with variations and modifications.
